About Us

The Richmond Women's Business consortium represents a working alliance between local women's organizations that explicitly encourage and cultivate women's success in business and/or the community.

The purpose of the Richmond Women's Business Consortium (RWBC) is:
    * to advocate for and support
the individual RWBC Member organizations (RWBC Members) in their respective initiatives to serve and support their members and/or the community.
    * to exchange information to a greater advantage and inform women in the Greater Richmond Metro area about local women's professional organizations and the initiatives that these RWBC Members implement to serve and support women in business and the community.
    * to develop venues that afford opportunities for our individual members to broaden their network, increase their business opportunities and maximize their professional success.

Membership in RWBC is open to non-profit organizations with at least 85% of its members being business or professional women.  Each member organization must independantly endeavor to support women and encourage their success in business or in the community.

To foster these goals, RWBC periodically hosts SmartConnect events.  These events are designed to provide opportunities for women from various business groups to make connections and build relationships.

All members in good standing of any RWBC member organization may attend SmartConnect events free of charge. Guests are charged a modest $5 fee to attend. Please reference the calendar for specific information on the next SmartConnect event. Beverages and light hors d’oeuvres are served.

RWBC has partnered with New Visions New Ventures (NVNV) for catering our SmartConnect events. The event chair works with NVNV and directly with the new catering business. We are able to further our mission of supporting women by offering this opportunity to a fledgling woman owned business.

Come and make your Smart Connections.
